CONSENT AT FETISH HAVEN SA: YOUR “STOP” ALWAYS MEANS STOP

Fetish Haven SA is a space where adults can explore, connect, play and enjoy their sexuality and kink in an environment built around trust, respect and consent.

But there is one principle that must never be misunderstood:

Consent can be given, changed and withdrawn at ANY moment.

You can agree to play with someone. You can agree to a particular activity. You can even have played with that person before.

At any point, however, you have the right to say:

STOP.

And when you say STOP, it means STOP.

Saying YES does not mean YES to everything

Consent is not a blank cheque.

Agreeing to one activity does not automatically mean agreeing to another. Agreeing to play with someone does not mean that person has permission to do whatever they want.

Consent needs to be understood between the people involved.

And importantly, you are allowed to change your mind.

Maybe something felt different from what you expected. Maybe you became uncomfortable. Maybe you simply don’t want to continue anymore.

You don’t need a complicated reason.

If you want it to stop, it stops.

What happens when someone says STOP?

At Fetish Haven SA, the expectation is simple:

STOP means STOP immediately.

There should be no:

“Just one more.”

“But you agreed earlier.”

“Why are you stopping?”

“You’re ruining the scene.”

Or any attempt to persuade someone to continue.

The activity must stop immediately and the person should be given space.

If you are the person playing with them, your responsibility is to respect that boundary.

If you are a witness, your responsibility is not to encourage the situation to continue.

What if I feel that my boundaries have been violated?

You do not have to confront the person yourself.

If you feel uncomfortable, unsafe or believe that someone has continued after you withdrew consent, speak to a member of FHSA staff immediately.

Our priority is to make sure the situation is brought under control and that everyone involved is safe.

Where appropriate, the parties may be separated while the situation is assessed.

The person making the complaint should be given an opportunity to explain what happened privately and without being subjected to public embarrassment, intimidation or pressure.

The person accused should also have an opportunity to provide their account.

FHSA will assess the circumstances and determine what action is appropriate under our venue rules.

Depending on the seriousness of the incident, this may include being asked to leave the venue, suspension from events, or being permanently banned from FHSA.

Where an incident may constitute a criminal offence, the matter may also be referred to the appropriate authorities.

There is no shame in saying NO

Kink and fetish play require trust.

That trust is built when people know that their boundaries will be respected.

You should never feel embarrassed because you changed your mind.

You should never feel that you have to continue because someone has already paid, because the scene has started, because other people are watching, or because you previously agreed.

Your consent belongs to you.

Respect the person behind the scene

A person may appear confident, adventurous and completely comfortable in one situation and still have boundaries in another.

Someone’s clothing is not consent.

Their presence at a fetish event is not consent.

Their previous sexual activity is not consent.

Their previous interaction with you is not consent.

Agreeing to one activity is not consent to every activity.

And being in a relationship with someone is not automatic consent either.

Always communicate. Always respect boundaries.

Our message to everyone at FHSA

Fetish Haven SA exists to provide adults with a space where they can explore their interests responsibly and respectfully.

That freedom comes with responsibility.

We expect every person who enters our space to understand that consent is ongoing, mutual and can be withdrawn at any time.

So whether you are new to the scene or have been part of the community for years, remember the most important rule:

YES means YES.

NO means NO.

STOP means STOP.

And when someone says STOP, you stop.

No argument.

No pressure.

No punishment.

Just respect.

Because a truly safe and enjoyable kink community is one where people know that their boundaries matter.
